The President of the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Kormantse, Rev. Dr. John Kobina Boakye, has called on Ghanaians to embrace the National Prayers and Thanksgiving Day and make it an annual event.
Rev. Dr. Boakye praised the initiative, describing it as a worthy occasion for the nation to come together to give thanks and glory to Almighty God. He stressed that it should not be a one-time event but a lasting tradition for the country.
In an interview, Rev. Dr. Boakye urged all Ghanaians to actively participate in the program. He noted that before the 2024 elections, there was widespread fear and panic among citizens, but by God’s grace, Ghana now has a president, ministers, and parliamentarians who are diligently performing their duties, ensuring that the country remains peaceful.
He further encouraged all churches to support and participate in the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving, emphasizing that the peace Ghanaians enjoy is not common in many neighboring countries and within the sub-region.
