C/R: Missing Woman Found Dead In Cocoa Farm

The community of Assin Dominase in the Assin South District of the Central Region is reeling in shock and grief after the discovery of a 45-year-old woman’s body in a cocoa farm.

The deceased has been identified as Nana Obiri, a single mother of five, who had been missing for two weeks after going snail hunting, a common practice in the area.
Despite efforts by her family and friends to locate her, her decomposed body was found in a remote area of the farm around 8pm on Monday, June 23, 2024.
While the family does not suspect foul play, they believe her indulgence in alcoholism may have contributed to her tragic death.
Meanwhile, the Assin Fosu Divisional Police Command has launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of death.
