President Mahama Assigns National Security Ministry To Minister Of Interior

President John Dramani Mahama has assigned the National Security Ministry to the Minister of the Interior, Mohammed-Muntaka Mubarak.

The contents of the letter from the President to Parliament were read by the Speaker during a sitting on Friday, March 7, 2025.

“Pursuant to Section 64 of the Securities and Intelligence Act, 2020 (Act 1030), I convey to the House that I have assigned ministerial responsibility for national security to the Minister of the Interior, Hon. Mohammed-Muntaka Mubarak.

“Accordingly, the minister will oversee matters relating to national security in addition to his existing responsibilities, ensuring seamless coordination between the Interior Ministry and national security agencies.”
