41st Farmers’ Day Celebration: Hon. Christopher Assiem Crowned Best Assembly Member in Farming at Wassa Amenfi East

The 41st National Farmers’ Day celebration in the Wassa Amenfi East Municipality marked a memorable milestone as Hon. Christopher Assiem, Assembly Member for Abrokyire Krobo Electoral Area, was adjudged the Best Assembly Member in Farming. The event, held at Wassa Abrokyire Krobo, brought together farmers, traditional leaders, Assembly officials, dignitaries, and community members to honour individuals who have made outstanding contributions to agriculture in the municipality.

Hon. Assiem earned the prestigious award in recognition of his unwavering dedication to farming and his consistent support for farmers within the Abrokyire Krobo electoral area. His practical involvement in agriculture, adoption of modern farming techniques, and commitment to improving livelihoods have distinguish him as a leader who leads both in service and example.

In his acceptance remarks, Hon. Assiem expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Municipal Assembly, traditional leaders (Nananom), and the people of Abrokyire Krobo for their continuous encouragement. He reaffirmed his commitment to promoting agricultural development, empowering hardworking farmers, and enhancing food production across the municipality.

The Municipal Chief Executive, together with officials from the Department of Agriculture, praised Hon. Assiem for his exceptional balance between public service and hands-on farming.
