Ebenezer Appiah Declares Bid for NPP Asikuma Odoben Brakwa Constituency Secretary Position

The Asikuma Odoben Brakwa (AOB) Constituency Communications Officer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Ebenezer Appiah, has officially declared his intention to contest for the position of Constituency Secretary when nominations are opened ahead of the party’s internal elections.

Mr. Appiah, who also serves as a Polling Station Chairman, announced his decision following what he described as persistent calls from party faithful and well-wishers across various levels of the NPP’s structure within and beyond the constituency.

In a statement announcing his bid, he said:
“With honour, permit me to formally announce my intention to contest for the position of Constituency Secretary of my party upon the opening of nominations.”

According to him, the decision was not taken lightly but came after extensive consultations and careful reflection.

“This decision follows consistent calls from patriots at all levels of our party structure and well-wishers of the party, both within and outside the constituency. I have given these calls careful consideration and made extensive consultations with my family and those close to me. With honour, I accept this call to duty as a privilege to serve,” he stated.

Mr. Appiah highlighted his long-standing service and experience within the party, noting that his political journey has been shaped by years of grassroots involvement and dedication to party ideals.

He explained that his leadership experience spans more than a decade, beginning as a member of the Constituency Communications Team before rising to become the Constituency Communications Officer — a role he currently occupies — while simultaneously serving as a Polling Station Chairman.

“Having served as a Polling Station Chairman, I had the privilege of being nurtured by the Constituency Secretariat for over a decade, first as a Communications Team member and then as Communications Officer. At every point, it is my loyalty, commitment, and dedication to the values of our tradition that has led me to this moment,” he added.

Mr. Appiah further appealed to delegates and party members to support his vision of strengthening administrative efficiency and unity within the constituency’s party structure.

“I kindly ask, in humility, for your confidence and support as we work together to build a stronger secretariat in Asikuma Odoben Brakwa. Let us move together, united in purpose, driven by service, and committed to victory.”

His declaration adds momentum to the upcoming internal elections of the NPP, which are expected to reshape constituency leadership structures as the party prepares for future political contests.
