Otoo Family Officially Announces Passing Of Former AMA Director To Accra MCE

The Otoo family has formally informed the Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) of Accra, Hon. Michael Kpakpo Allotey, of the passing of Mr. Benjamin Ayikwei Armah, a former Coordinating Director of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA).
An 11-member delegation, led by the Principal Elder of the Otoo family, paid a courtesy call on the MCE at Accra City Hall on Wednesday to officially convey the sad news.
Mr. Armah served as Coordinating Director of the AMA from 2019 to 2022, earning widespread respect as a dedicated and principled public servant.
In receiving the delegation, MCE Allotey expressed deep sorrow over the loss and paid a heartfelt tribute to Mr. Armah’s integrity, professionalism, and enduring friendship.
“He was more than a colleague; he was a trusted friend,” said the MCE. “He supported me wholeheartedly during my vetting for this position and never hesitated to lend a helping hand, always without expectation. His passing is a great personal and institutional loss.”
The MCE extended his condolences to the bereaved family and assured them of the Assembly’s full support during this difficult time.
