Ajumako DCE Assures Chiefs and People of Enyan Nkodwo of Improved Roads

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ajumako Enyan Essiam, Hon. Andrews Kojo Dodoo, has assured the chiefs and people of Enyan Nkodwo that their roads will soon be upgraded to bitumen standard.
He gave the assurance while addressing a durbar held to climax this year’s Akwanbo Festival, which was celebrated under the theme “Unity; Together We Can Build.”
According to the DCE, although the road linking Nkodwo to Nsanwadze is not currently included in the bitumen surfacing project, the Assembly has deployed machinery that will be used to grade and maintain it to ensure easy accessibility.
Hon. Kojo Dodoo further urged parents to prioritize the education of their children, stressing that investment in education was the surest way to secure a brighter future for the next generation.
“What you may not be able to achieve, your children can do for you if you dedicate your resources to their education,” he advised.
The DCE also reminded residents about the importance of maintaining good sanitation practices. He emphasized that the National Sanitation Day exercise, observed monthly across the country, would be fully embraced in the district to help promote a healthy environment.
For his part, the Chief of Enyan Nkodwo, Nana Takyi Essuman II, appealed to the government through the DCE to assist in expanding the community’s CHPS Compound, constructing an astro turf to promote sports among the youth, and fast-tracking the completion of their road projects.
The durbar brought together chiefs, elders, opinion leaders, youth, and other community members, all of whom expressed optimism that the DCE’s assurance would bring much-needed relief to the people of Enyan Nkodwo.
