The Assembly Member for Wassa Ateiku in the Western Region, Hon. Frank Andoh, has appealed to the government to support the establishment of a Community Senior High School in the area to enhance access to quality education.
Hon. Andoh, who also serves as the Area Council Chairman for Daboase, made the appeal during an interaction with the media, where he highlighted key developmental needs in his electoral area.
According to him, the absence of a senior high school in Wassa Ateiku has created challenges for students in the community, many of whom have to travel long distances to access secondary education. He stressed that the establishment of a local school would significantly reduce dropout rates and improve academic performance in the area.
In addition to the education appeal, the Assembly Member called on the government to address the poor state of roads within the town and the stretch from Ateiku to Twifo Praso. He emphasized that the deplorable road network has not only hindered economic activities but also poses safety risks to residents and travelers.
Hon. Andoh also appealed for support to complete the local market project he initiated, which he said will boost trading activities and improve livelihoods once fully operational.
He took the opportunity to urge residents to uphold peace and unity in the community, warning against behaviors that could undermine development efforts.
Hon. Frank Andoh is widely recognized for his commitment to grassroots development. Through collaboration with his constituents, he has spearheaded several community projects aimed at improving living standards.
