Communications Minister Engages GIFEC Staff, Pledges Stronger Support for Welfare and Institutional Growth

The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has held a durbar with the staff of the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC) on February 26, 2026.

Addressing the gathering, the Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to improving staff welfare and strengthening institutional capacity.

He highlighted progress made in resolving outstanding personnel matters, including promotions carried out in line with merit and established procedures.

He stressed that the continued growth and effectiveness of GIFEC depend largely on the dedication, professionalism and teamwork of its workforce.

The Minister also praised staff for their role in broadening digital access and improving connectivity across the country.

He assured them of sustained government backing as the agency moves forward with key projects aimed at deepening digital inclusion nationwide.
