Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has unveiled a major national initiative aimed at closing critical road infrastructure gaps, with 166 constituencies targeted for urgent intervention.

Delivering the 2025 Mid-Year Budget Review to Parliament on Thursday, July 24, said government has identified these constituencies as being in dire need of road improvements.

“In response, we have programmed the rehabilitation of 10 kilometres of roads annually in each of the selected constituencies,” he told the House.

The plan, which spans the next three years, is expected to result in the reconstruction of a total of 5,000 kilometres of roads across the country by 2028.
