LIVESTREAM: 2025 Mid-Year Budget Review Presented by Finance Minister in Parliament
The Minister for Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, is currently delivering the much-anticipated 2025 Mid-Year Budget Review to Parliament today, Thursday, July 24, 2025.
The presentation comes amid heightened public and political interest, as Ghanaians closely watch to see whether the government will stick to its original expenditure framework or request a supplementary budget in light of fiscal pressures and evolving global economic conditions.
The review is in accordance with Section 28 of the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921), which mandates the Finance Minister to update Parliament on the implementation of the national budget and outline the fiscal strategy for the second half of the year.
Dr. Forson’s presentation is taking place at a time when Ghana’s macroeconomic indicators are showing signs of recovery, raising expectations for a budget policy that reinforces fiscal discipline, enhances investor confidence, and promotes long-term price stability.
