NDC Policies Are Just Slogans Without Action – NPP Deputy Women’s Organizer

Deputy National Women’s Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and aspiring National Women’s Organizer, Hajia Safia Mohammed, has taken a swipe at the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), describing their policies as mere slogans lacking real implementation.
Speaking to the media at the NPP’s Annual National Delegates Conference held in Accra under the theme “Rebuilding Together With Our Values,” Hajia Safia emphasized the need for unity within the NPP as the party prepares to face the NDC in the 2028 general elections.
“Ghanaians will not repeat the mistakes of the past. The 2028 elections will be a clear choice between progress and empty promises. The NDC is known for making loud slogans without backing them with real action,” she said.
According to her, the NPP has a proven track record of introducing and executing policies that directly impact the lives of ordinary Ghanaians. She cited initiatives implemented under past and current NPP administrations, which she believes have laid the foundation for national development.
“From education to industrialization, every NPP government has brought transformational policies that benefit Ghanaians. That is what sets us apart from the NDC,” she stressed.
Hajia Safia also alleged that the NDC is planning to use politically motivated arrests of NPP members as a strategy to distract the public and tarnish the party’s image ahead of future elections.
“They want to intimidate our leaders with arrests and trumped-up charges. But Ghanaians are watching and will not fall for these diversionary tactics,” she added.
Meanwhile, the Bono East Regional Secretary of the NPP, Mr. David Boakye, also shared his thoughts at the conference. He condemned what he described as the NDC’s regressive approach, citing their decision during their previous administration to abandon the One District, One Factory (1D1F) initiative – a flagship policy of the NPP that has seen factories spring up across the country.
“The 1D1F initiative was a bold and necessary move to industrialize Ghana and create jobs. It’s disappointing that the NDC once cancelled such forward-thinking policies. We must ensure such backward decisions do not return,” Mr. Boakye said.
The conference brought together party executives, delegates, and stakeholders from across the country as they reviewed the party’s constitution, deliberated on key strategies, and reaffirmed their commitment to unity and progress.
