
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Central Region has elected new regional executives following a keenly contested regional-level election held at the Mankessim Astro Turf in the Mfantsiman Constituency.
The election brought together accredited
delegates from across the region to elect officers who will steer the affairs of the party in the Central Region as the NPP reorganises its structures ahead of the 2028 general elections.


The Electoral Commission (EC) officials who supervised the exercise certified the following results:

The results indicate a number of decisive victories, with Anthony Sackey recording the highest number of votes among the successful candidates with 333 votes, followed by Women’s Organiser-elect Charlotte Adwoa Antwi with 303 votes and Secretary-elect Richard Takyi Mensah with 283 votes.
The newly elected regional executives are expected to assume responsibility for strengthening party structures, coordinating grassroots mobilisation and supporting the NPP’s preparations for the 2028 general elections.
The election was conducted under the supervision of Electoral Commission officials, with the results certified at the close of the exercise.
