Ostir Will Take its Rightful Place in Mfantseman — Ebusuapanyin Nana Ekow Acquaye

The Ebusuapanyin of Ostir in the Mfantseman Municipality, Nana Ekow Acquaye, has reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that the Ostir community takes its rightful place in the development agenda of the municipality, despite years of limited government support and stalled projects.
Nana Ekow Acquaye made this pledge during a ceremony where he formally entrusted the development agenda of the community to Nana Kofi Dum I, a Black American who has been installed as the Development Chief of Ostir. The installation marks a renewed push to accelerate growth, attract investment, and transform the community.
In an interview with Tobinco Media Group’s Agyei Kwaku Mensah, Nana Kyeame Kwame Adu, spokesperson for Nana Ekow Acquaye, said the Ebusuapanyin has remained committed to his promise since his installation—to ensure that Ostir reclaims its rightful status within Mfantseman.
According to him, Nana Ekow Acquaye and his team have already initiated several developmental projects in the community. These projects include:
- A modern toilet facility, currently nearing completion
- An ICT Centre to enhance digital literacy among the youth
- A new school block to improve access to quality education
He added that the community has abundant land available and is ready to welcome investors who are willing to partner with them to accelerate local development.
The newly installed Development Chief, Nana Kofi Dum I, expressed deep appreciation to the chiefs and people of Ostir for the honor bestowed upon him. He assured the community of his unwavering commitment to support developmental initiatives and help position Ostir as a progressive and thriving community.
The Headmistress of Ostir M/A Basic School, Madam Judith Essel, also thanked the chiefs and the new Development Chief for their continuous support. She outlined some of the urgent needs of the school and appealed for more assistance to enhance teaching and learning.
With renewed leadership, community collaboration, and open doors to investors, residents of Ostir remain optimistic that the town will soon witness significant transformation and development.
