Parliament Resumes Sitting on Tuesday

Parliament will resume sittings on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, following a recess, according to a notice issued by the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin.

The Second Meeting of the First Session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic will officially commence on the same day.

The notice was issued in accordance with Order 58 of the Standing Orders of Parliament, which requires that Members of Parliament (MPs) be formally notified of upcoming sittings to ensure they are adequately informed and prepared.

This marks the official return of parliamentary business, with MPs expected to debate key national issues, review pending legislation, and consider reports from various committees.

The session will serve as a platform for critical deliberations on matters of public interest.
