Sofo Kojo’s Final Funeral Rites Scheduled for November 21–23

The family of the late Prophet Bishop Charles Kojo Acquah, popularly known as Sofo Kojo, has officially announced the dates for his final funeral rites. The founder and general overseer of The True Way Church of Jerusalem (TTWCJ), headquartered at Ekumfi Akwakrom near Mankessim, will be laid to rest with solemn observances from Friday, November 21 to Sunday, November 23, 2025.
The announcement was made after a well-attended one-week observation held on Saturday, August 2, at Akwakrom—the headquarters and spiritual home of TTWCJ, which the late Bishop established and faithfully nurtured.
According to the Aboradze family, the funeral rites will be conducted over three days, blending both traditional customs and Christian liturgy to reflect the prophet’s unique role as a spiritual leader and cultural figure. The family emphasized that the ceremonies are intended not only to mourn his passing but also to celebrate his life, legacy, and decades of ministry.
Members of the True Way Church of Jerusalem, sympathisers, and the general public are warmly invited to participate in the final rites. Thousands are expected to converge on Akwakrom to pay their last respects to the revered man of God, whose ministry touched lives across Ghana and beyond.
Further details of the funeral arrangements, including the full program of activities, will be released by the family and church leadership in due course.
