GPL 2024/25: Bibiani GoldStars Set for Coronation Clash Against Medeama

Newly crowned champions Bibiani GoldStars FC will officially be presented with the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League trophy on Saturday, June 14, 2025, following a coronation match against regional rivals Medeama SC at the Duns Park in Bibiani.
The historic occasion comes on the heels of GoldStars’ emphatic title-clinching victory last Sunday, where they routed relegated Accra Lions 4-0 in front of an ecstatic home crowd. The result sealed their first-ever top-flight title, capping a dominant campaign that etched their name into Ghanaian football history.
GoldStars now join an elite group as the third consecutive club from the Western Region to win the Premier League, continuing the region’s recent dominance in Ghanaian football.
The ceremonial fixture against Medeama is scheduled to kick off at 3:00 p.m. local time (15:00 GMT).
Following the final whistle, the team will be officially decorated with medals before receiving the coveted league trophy, marking the high point of a season that has united the Bibiani community and captured national attention.
A capacity crowd is expected at Duns Park, as fans from across the Western North Region and beyond gather to celebrate what has been a fairytale campaign for the Miners.
