The Abeadze Traditional Area witnessed a historic and colorful celebration on Friday, August 22, 2025, as the people of Abeadzeman came together at the residence of the Omanhen, His Royal Majesty Daasebrɛ Kwebu Ewusi VII, at Abeadze Dominase, to honour tradition, culture, and leadership.

On this memorable day, Nana Esi Foriwaa II was officially sworn in as the new Abeadze Akobema Adontenhemaa, in a ceremony filled with rich cultural displays, traditional rites, and blessings from the ancestors of Abeadzeman. The coronation was conducted by the Omanhen, His Royal Majesty Daasebrɛ Kwebu Ewusi VII, alongside the chiefs and queen mothers of the Abeadze Traditional Council, in accordance with long-held customs and traditions.

The event attracted people from far and near, including dignitaries, family, and well-wishers from across Ghana and abroad. Notably, her children, who traveled from the United States of America, were present to support and celebrate their mother’s elevation to such an esteemed role.

In an interview with NewsAfricaGhana.com, her daughters—Frances, Esi, and Efua—expressed their heartfelt joy and pride, wishing their mother a long and impactful reign.

Adding a unique touch to the occasion, the coronation coincided with Nana Esi Foriwaa II’s 80th birthday celebration, making the festivities even more remarkable.
