The New Force Apologizes for Assault by Security Guard

The New Force political movement has issued a public apology after a viral video surfaced showing one of its security personnel physically assaulting a supporter during a recent event.
According to eyewitnesses, the supporter was merely attempting to approach the movement’s presidential candidate when he was allegedly kicked in the chest by a member of the security team.
In a statement signed by General Secretary Charles Yomekpe, the New Force described the incident as “deeply saddening and disturbing,” emphasizing that the individual posed no threat and should have been treated with dignity and respect.
“We extend our sincerest apologies to the victim, their family, and to all Ghanaians,” the statement read. “Such conduct is unjustifiable and runs counter to the values and principles of our movement.”
The New Force further announced that an internal investigation is underway and assured the public that disciplinary action will be taken against the security officer involved.
The statement concluded with gratitude to the public for demanding accountability and reaffirmed the movement’s commitment to preventing such incidents in the future.
