Mr Edward Acquah Fayah, the incumbent Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ekumfi Constituency, has officially declared his intention to seek another term in office in the upcoming 2026 constituency elections.
Mr Fayah, who has served as the NDC Constituency Secretary for the past 12 years, is seeking to retain his position and continue contributing to the growth, development and organisational strength of the party in the Ekumfi Constituency.
In declaring his bid, he is expected to highlight his record in office, experience and commitment to strengthening the party’s structures and supporting the NDC’s organisational activities at the constituency level.

His decision sets the stage for what could be a keenly contested race as party members prepare to elect constituency executives to steer the affairs of the NDC ahead of the party’s broader political activities.
The 2026 constituency elections are expected to attract significant interest among NDC members, with aspirants seeking the support of delegates based on their track records, organisational experience and ability to advance the interests of the party.
Mr Fayah is expected to formally engage delegates and party stakeholders as he campaigns for another mandate to serve as Constituency Secretary.
His supporters say his experience and knowledge of the constituency’s party structures will position him to continue providing effective administrative and organisational leadership to the NDC in Ekumfi.
