Anne Daly’s Appointment To NHIA Board Revoked

President John Dramani Mahama has revoked the appointment of Anne Sansa Daly from the Board of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA).

The decision follows public concerns regarding Daly’s lack of a valid license to practise medicine in Ghana.

In her place, the President has nominated Prof. Dr. (Med) Ernest Yorke, who is expected to assume the position immediately, according to a formal communication from the Presidency.

Prof. Yorke is scheduled to be officially sworn in at a ceremony in the coming days.

Sources indicate that the revocation was prompted by backlash over Daly’s designation as a medical doctor, despite not holding a current licence to practise within the country.
