
A fire outbreak has razed parts of the District Magistrate Court “B” in Sunyani, triggering a swift emergency response from the Ghana National Fire Service.
Firefighters from the Sunyani Municipal Command, supported by personnel from the Bono Regional Headquarters, were quickly dispatched to the scene. Crews are working intensively to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to adjoining offices and nearby structures within the court complex.
The extent of destruction remains unclear as assessment is ongoing. Authorities are yet to determine whether critical court documents, case files, or exhibits stored within the facility have been affected by the fire.
Officials have not confirmed the cause of the incident, and investigations are expected to commence once the situation is fully brought under control.No casualties have been reported as of now. Further updates are expected as emergency teams continue their operations and a full damage assessment is conducted.
