FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
OPDAG TO HOLD ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING ON NOVEMBER 7-8 IN ACCRA
The Oil Palm Development Association of Ghana (OPDAG) is set to hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, beginning at 8:00 a.m. and Sunday, November 8, 2026, at UPSA, begining at 4:00 p.m. in Accra
The meeting will bring together members and relevant stakeholders to deliberate on the association’s affairs, review organisational priorities and explore opportunities to strengthen Ghana’s oil palm industry.
A key item on the agenda will be the confirmation of the Executive Secretary, alongside other organisational matters aimed at supporting the effective administration and continued development of the association.

The AGM will also provide a platform for discussions on strengthening collaboration across the oil palm value chain, improving productivity, promoting local processing and value addition, and identifying opportunities to advance the industry’s contribution to Ghana’s agricultural and economic development.
The oil palm sector remains an important part of Ghana’s agribusiness landscape, with opportunities to support employment, stimulate investment, strengthen local industries and improve livelihoods. Sustained progress will require effective stakeholder engagement, stronger partnerships and a shared commitment to addressing challenges across the value chain.
Preparations for the AGM are being coordinated by a dedicated Planning Committee led by the National Organiser, Mr. Edward Akwaboah, with support from executive officers and industry representatives.
The committee is overseeing programme development, protocol, logistics, publicity, media engagement and stakeholder mobilisation to facilitate the successful organisation of the meeting.
OPDAG looks forward to constructive deliberations and active participation by its members as the association continues to pursue the interests of stakeholders and contribute to the growth and sustainability of Ghana’s oil palm industry.
Members, industry stakeholders and the media are encouraged to take note of the meeting and follow official OPDAG communications for further information.
