The Embassy apologised for any inconvenience the temporary closure may cause and urged the public to plan their visits accordingly and take note of the revised schedule for consular and other official services.

Marine Day, known locally as Umi no Hi, is one of Japan’s national holidays. It is observed annually to celebrate the country’s close relationship with the sea, while recognising the ocean’s vital contribution to Japan’s economy, culture and national development.

The Embassy encouraged members of the public requiring its services to schedule their visits after the holiday when regular operations resume.
