The Omanhen of the Mankessim Traditional Area and President of the Mankessim Traditional Council, Osagyefo Amanfo Edu VI, has donated a GH¢30,000 worth public address system to the Obrumankoma Jama Group as part of his commitment to promoting culture and supporting community development.
The presentation was made during the Omanhen’s annual Stool Purification Ceremony, held at the Pakesedo Events Centre in Mankessim on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.
Presenting the equipment, Osagyefo Amanfo Edu VI urged members of the Jama group to make good use of the public address system and ensure that it is properly maintained. He noted that taking good care of the equipment would not only prolong its lifespan but could also encourage more individuals and organizations to support the group with similar donations in the future.
The Omanhen reaffirmed his commitment to preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of the Mankessim Traditional Area, stressing that supporting cultural groups remains an important part of the Traditional Council’s efforts to empower the youth and strengthen community cohesion.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the Obrumankoma Jama Group, Ebenezer Brofo, popularly known as Nyamekye, expressed profound gratitude to Osagyefo Amanfo Edu VI for the generous gesture.
He described the donation as timely and significant, saying it would greatly enhance the group’s performances during traditional festivals, community events and other public engagements.
Nyamekye prayed for God’s continued protection, wisdom and abundant blessings upon the Omanhen for his kindness and unwavering support for the group’s activities.
He further assured the Traditional Council that the public address system would be used responsibly and maintained in excellent condition to justify the confidence reposed in the group.
The donation underscores Osagyefo Amanfo Edu VI’s dedication to community development and the promotion of Mankessim’s cultural identity through sustained support for local cultural organizations.
