Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Ebenezer Prince Arhin urged the contractor, Brison Construction Company Ltd, to ensure the project is completed within the stipulated 36-month period.

The MP also commended the traditional authorities, the MCE, traders and residents for their cooperation and support towards the realization of the project.
Hon. Arhin further appealed to the contractor to prioritize the use of local labour and locally sourced materials to help create employment opportunities for the youth within the Mfantseman Municipality.
The Paramount Chief (Omanhen) of the Mankessim Traditional Council, Osagyefo Amanfo Edu VI, expressed appreciation to the MP, the MCE and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government for what he described as visionary leadership and commitment to development in the area.

He emphasized that the Mankessim Traditional Council remains development-oriented and committed to initiatives that will improve the lives of residents, stressing that the council believes in action-driven leadership for the benefit of the people.

The contractor, Brison Construction Company Ltd, assured residents of quality work and thanked the government for the opportunity to execute the project following a successful national competitive bidding process.

On his part, Hon. Eric Stanley Acquah used the occasion to highlight some of President John Dramani Mahama’s campaign promises and achievements both in the constituency and nationwide, indicating that the Mankessim Ultra-Modern 24-Hour Economy Market is a major step towards fulfilling those commitments.
