Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has extended a message of encouragement and goodwill to candidates preparing to sit for the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), urging them to approach the examinations with integrity, discipline, and confidence.
In a May 13 statement, the minister acknowledged the hard work and dedication of students and encouraged them to trust in their preparation.
“As WASSCE candidates across the country prepare to begin their examinations, I extend my warmest wishes to each and every one of you,” the statement said.
The minister stressed the importance of honesty throughout the examination period, reminding candidates to remain disciplined and avoid any form of malpractice.
“Let integrity, discipline, and honesty guide you throughout the examination period.”
Haruna Iddrisu further noted that the sacrifices and effort students had invested in their academic journey had brought them this far, urging them to believe in themselves as they take the crucial examinations.
“Your dedication and hard work have brought you this far. Trust in your preparation and believe in yourselves,” he added.
