Full Judgment: Why Agradaa Was Jailed

Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, widely known as Nana Agradaa, was sentenced to 15 years in prison by the Circuit Court in Accra on 3 July 2025, after being found guilty of charlatanic advertisement and defrauding by false pretences.

The former traditional priestess, who later rebranded herself as a Christian evangelist, was convicted for orchestrating a money-doubling scam during a televised church service in 2022.

During the broadcast, she falsely claimed to possess spiritual powers that could miraculously multiply cash for those who contributed money to her ministry.

The court held that her actions deliberately misled members of the public, many of whom handed over large sums in anticipation of receiving double in return payments which were never fulfilled.
