The Queen Mother of the Anomabo Traditional Area, Nana Mbroba Dabo I, has called on parents to actively support teachers in the training and upbringing of children, stressing that collaboration between homes and schools is essential for shaping responsible future leaders.
She made the call during the 69th Independence Day celebration held at Anomabo in the Mfantseman Municipality of the Central Region.

Addressing the gathering, Nana Mbroba Dabo I emphasised that children represent the future of the nation and must be given the right education and moral guidance from an early age to prepare them to take up leadership roles in society.
According to her, no nation can achieve meaningful development without prioritising the education and proper training of its young people.
She noted that Ghana’s first President, Kwame Nkrumah, whose legacy is celebrated during Independence Day, was once a child who benefited from the support of parents, teachers and society.
“Children are the future leaders of our country. They must be given the needed education from infancy so that they will grow to take our place. There is no success without education,” she stated.
The Queen Mother further stressed that any country that fails to invest in the education and training of its youth cannot expect sustainable growth and development. She therefore urged parents, guardians and other stakeholders to rally behind teachers to ensure children receive the guidance and education necessary to become responsible citizens.
On his part, the Western Regional Deputy Director of the Environmental Protection Agency, Mr. James Odiifo Essoun, advised students to remain patriotic and develop a strong love for their country.
He reminded them of their responsibility as future leaders and encouraged them to contribute positively to national development. Mr. Essoun also called for unity among residents of Anomabo to promote peace and progress in the community.

Representing the Anomabo Council of Churches, Rev. Anthony Yaw Torsu of the International Central Gospel Church also urged parents to train their children in the right way so they would not depart from it in the future.
He encouraged the children to obey their parents and teachers and to take their education seriously so they can grow into responsible and productive citizens who will contribute to the development of their families, communities and the nation.
