Emotional Scenes in Akwakrom as Thousands Mourn Sofo Kojo [PHOTOS]

Akwakrom was engulfed in sorrow and solemn reflection as thousands of mourners and sympathizers gathered on Saturday, August 2, 2025, to observe the one-week memorial of the late Bishop Charles Kojo Acquah, affectionately known as Sofo Kojo.
The beloved General Overseer of The True Way Church of Jerusalem (TTWCJ) was deeply revered for his spiritual leadership, prophetic ministry, and lifelong dedication to the Christian faith. The one-week observation drew a massive crowd including church members, clergy from sister denominations, community leaders, family, friends, and well-wishers from across the country.
The emotional event featured heartfelt tributes, scripture readings, praise and worship, and moments of prayer in remembrance of Bishop Acquah’s impactful life and legacy.
The Aboradze family and the leadership of TTWCJ expressed their gratitude to all who came to show their support and solidarity. Plans for the final funeral rites, scheduled for November 21-23, 2025, were also officially announced during the ceremony.
Bishop Sofo Kojo’s passing marks the end of an era, but his spiritual influence and teachings continue to inspire many across generations.
