Swedru Fire Officers Undertake Industrial Visit to Tema Oil Refinery to Strengthen Industrial Fire Safety Expertise

A team of senior officers from the Agona Swedru Fire Station of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) on Tuesday, August 5, 2026, embarked on an educational and professional development tour of the Tema Oil Refinery in Tema as part of efforts to strengthen their capacity in industrial fire prevention and emergency response.

The study visit, led by the Agona Swedru Municipal Fire Commander, Divisional Officer Grade II (DOII) Abdul Wasiu Hudu, formed part of the station’s continuous professional training programme aimed at equipping personnel with practical knowledge of fire safety management in high-risk industrial environments.

Upon arrival, the delegation received a warm welcome from officials of the refinery, who conducted them on a comprehensive tour of the facility.
