Voting in the Mfantseman Constituency re-election of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially ended, with election officials now commencing the sorting of ballots.
A total of 1,799 delegates were expected to participate in the Mfantseman NPP constituency re-election exercise held today, September 21, 2026.
The re-election follows the cancellation of the previous constituency executive elections held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at the Centre Organisation for Sports (COS Park).
Voting in today’s exercise officially closed at 4:00 p.m., paving the way for the sorting and counting of ballots.
The re-election was organised to provide delegates with another opportunity to cast their ballots after the earlier exercise was cancelled.
Following the close of polls, election officials have begun sorting the ballots in preparation for the counting and declaration of results.
Party supporters, delegates and other stakeholders are gathered at the election venue as they await the outcome of the exercise.
The final results will determine the successful candidates who will serve as the Mfantseman Constituency NPP executives.
