Mfantseman Traders Association Applauds MP For Her Show Of Gratitude And Stewardship
Concerned Traders Association of Mfantseman have applauded the Member of Parliament (MP), Hon. Ophelia Mensah Hayford for showing gratitude by continuously providing for their needs and her stewardship as the representative of the Mfantseman Constituency in Ghana’s Parliament.
The association expressed their profound gratitude to the MP for reposing confidence in His Excellency the President, Nana Akufo-Addo, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and herself and voting massively during the general election.
According to them, the Mfantseman Municipal Assembly has failed to perform its duties, but, the MP has set a good precedent and further entreated all leaders, especially politicians, who only remember the electorates when they need their votes, to emulate the good gesture of Hon. Ophelia Mensah. They congratulated the first-time legislature and assured her of their maximum support in her endeavors to develop the Mfantseman they want.
The Concerned Traders Association has described MP’s gesture as unprecedented in the history of the constituency and they have lauded the initiative as they are with much pleasure that, the President, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has nominated her as the Minister designate for Environment, Science, Technology Innovation.
The leaders of the association in a conference held on Thursday, February 22, 2024 lamented that, “instead of the Assembly who has been collecting all forms of market toll, tax and license from us to put things in place to better the lives of the traders always decline our cry. Hon. Ophelia Mensah Hayford is doing her best for us and we are once again showing our heartfelt appreciation.
They assured Member of Parliament their support and called on the security agencies and her to beef up security in the market, and they are confident that, Hon. Ophelia Mensah Hayford will do more developmental projects for the good people of Mfantseman.
