A determined contender for the Communications Officer position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ekumfi Constituency, Mr. Armah Abraham—popularly known as Father AB—has issued a strong call to party leadership to prioritise strategic communication as the key to electoral victory.

In an exclusive interview with Douglas Oyiboh Amponsah, Father AB argued that the National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s dominance in Ekumfi since 1992 has been sustained largely through effective narrative control rather than performance.

“If we are serious about winning Ekumfi, then we must be even more serious about how we communicate. Strategic communication is not optional—it is our most potent weapon,” he stated.

He emphasised the need for a proactive, disciplined, and results-oriented communication strategy to counter the NDC’s long-standing influence, insisting that the NPP must take control of its messaging to reshape public perception.

Father AB expressed confidence in his ability to lead this transformation, describing communication as both his expertise and calling. He urged delegates and party leadership to entrust him with the role, promising to build a communication structure that informs, inspires, and mobilises voters.

Highlighting the NPP’s track record, he referenced the party’s achievements between 2016 and 2020 under Francis Kingsley Ato Cudjoe, including initiatives such as One District One Factory (1D1F), youth employment, security recruitment, and skills development programmes.

“We have the record. We have the results. What we need now is the voice—the strong, strategic voice—to tell our story and win back our people,” he stressed.

With a background spanning missionary work, education, creative arts, and communication, Father AB positioned himself as a candidate capable of redefining the party’s narrative in Ekumfi.

In his closing remarks, he called on party leadership, grassroots supporters, and undecided voters to unite behind a vision focused on victory and long-term development.

“Give me the mandate, and together we will not only win Ekumfi—we will secure it for generations to come,” he declared.

In a separate address, Father AB reaffirmed his commitment to leading the party’s communication front, pledging to help reclaim the seat and maintain a strong NPP presence in the constituency.
