The Superintendent Minister of the Ebenezer Methodist Church at Mankessim, Very Rev. Boakye Kusi Appiah, has urged Ghanaians to place a high premium on their health as they navigate the year 2026.

According to him, good health remains a critical foundation for making sound and effective decisions that lead to success in life. He stressed that without physical and mental well-being, personal and national progress would be difficult to achieve.

Very Rev. Boakye Kusi Appiah made these remarks during a watch night service at the Ebenezer Methodist Church in Mankessim, as Christians gathered to usher in the New Year.

Preaching to the congregation, he emphasised the need for individuals to take personal responsibility for their health, noting that spiritual growth must be complemented by practical lifestyle choices.

“Prophecies may be declared, but people must work hard and live responsibly for those prophecies to manifest,” he said.

The Methodist minister further highlighted the importance of prudent decision-making and effective life management, explaining that discipline, planning, and consistency are essential ingredients for success.

He added that God has endowed every individual with free will and potential, stating that anyone can achieve prosperity if they combine faith with diligence. He cautioned against impulse buying and encouraged Ghanaians to embrace hard work, financial discipline, and self-development.

Very Rev. Boakye Kusi Appiah also observed that a significant number of people remain poor not because of lack of opportunity, but due to overreliance on being employed by others. He encouraged the youth in particular to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset and take initiative in improving their livelihoods.
