It’s Time OSP Freezes Ken Ofori-Atta’s Assets – Oliver Barker-Vormawor

Oliver Barker-Vormawor
Youth activist and #FixTheCountry convener, Oliver Barker-Vormawor, has called on the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) to freeze the assets of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, in light of his continued failure to appear before the office.
His remarks follow the expiration of the June 2, 2025 deadline set by the OSP for Mr. Ofori-Atta to present himself for questioning. The OSP has since declared him wanted and described him as a fugitive from justice.
In response, Barker-Vormawor argued that further decisive actions are necessary to compel Mr. Ofori-Atta’s return to Ghana, including the immediate freezing of his assets and the initiation of extradition proceedings.
In a social media post, he stated:
“If the OSP does not immediately commence extradition proceedings against Ken Ofori-Atta, and does not seek the freezing and seizure of Ken’s assets, then the OSP is our entire problem. This one is on him.”
Barker-Vormawor’s comments add to growing public scrutiny of how the OSP is handling the high-profile case involving multiple corruption allegations tied to Mr. Ofori-Atta’s tenure.
