Kofi Owusu Peprah Live Draws Thousands of Believers at New Dawhenya

The 2026 edition of Kofi Owusu Peprah Live, held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, attracted thousands of believers to the forecourt of ICGC Evangel Temple at New Dawhenya for an unforgettable night of worship, praise and thanksgiving.
The annual gospel gathering brought together Christians from different parts of Ghana, with worshippers turning up in their numbers to celebrate their faith, fellowship and lift their voices in praise to God.
The atmosphere at the venue was filled with excitement as individuals, families, young people and church groups arrived ahead of the main programme. By the time the event began, the forecourt had transformed into a vibrant gathering of believers ready to worship and celebrate through gospel music.
The highly anticipated event featured some of Ghana’s respected gospel musicians and ministers, who delivered performances that kept the audience engaged throughout the night.
Minister Kofi Owusu Peprah, who headlined the event, delivered a powerful worship session that saw the crowd singing along, dancing and raising their hands in praise. His energetic yet worship-centred delivery created an atmosphere of spiritual reflection and celebration.

Team Eternity also took the stage, adding another exciting dimension to the programme. The group connected strongly with the audience through an energetic performance, particularly drawing enthusiastic participation from the younger generation.
Enuonyam also treated the gathering to a refreshing gospel performance, while Pastor Sammie Obeng Poku brought his distinctive blend of ministry and music to the event as he engaged and encouraged the congregation.
Gratitude to God and tribute to late father
Speaking after the successful event, Kofi Owusu Peprah expressed profound gratitude to God for making the programme possible. He also paid tribute to his late father, Rev. George Owusu Mensah, whom he credited with playing a significant role in shaping his journey as a gospel musician.
He said his father’s influence, guidance and contribution to his music career remain an important part of his story.

“First of all, the Almighty God deserves all the praise and honour. Not forgetting the vigorous role my late beloved dad played in my journey as a gospel musician.”
Rev. George Owusu Mensah was also the composer of the much-loved gospel song “Matwen,” which has remained popular among gospel music lovers.
‘Every time is worship time’
Kofi Owusu Peprah further highlighted his personal slogan, “Every time is worship time,” saying it serves as a constant reminder of God’s greatness and the need for believers to maintain an attitude of worship in their daily lives.
According to him, worship should not be restricted to church services, concerts or special religious gatherings but should become an integral part of the believer’s everyday life.

The gospel musician also encouraged Christians and other believers to support the work of God in whatever capacity they can.
He noted that greater commitment and support for gospel ministry would help strengthen the spread of the Christian message beyond Ghana and across the world.
A night of worship and fellowship
For many of the attendees, Kofi Owusu Peprah Live was more than a gospel concert. It provided an opportunity to give thanks to God, seek His presence and fellowship with other believers.
The atmosphere remained vibrant throughout the night as worshippers sang, danced, prayed and raised their hands in worship.

The 2026 edition of Kofi Owusu Peprah Live once again demonstrated the power of gospel music and worship gatherings to unite people in faith and thanksgiving.
With the impressive turnout and memorable performances from the musicians and ministers on the bill, the event ended on a high note, leaving attendees with lasting memories of an evening dedicated to worship, gratitude and the celebration of God’s goodness.
