The Berekum Circuit Court, under the supervision of Osei Kofi Amoako Esq., has remanded Emmanuel Yeboah into police custody following his arrest for attempted murder and causing harm.
According to a statement released by the Bono Regional Police Command on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, the suspect was apprehended on January 3, 2026, after a reported attack that left two individuals with serious injuries.
Preliminary investigations by the police suggest that Emmanuel Yeboah ambushed the victims—his brother and sister-in-law—while they were en route to a cashew farm at the center of a long-standing ownership dispute. Authorities believe the attack stemmed from this ongoing disagreement over the farm.
During the operation, police recovered a cutlass, which has been retained as evidence. The victims are currently receiving medical care at a local health facility.
Emmanuel Yeboah is scheduled to reappear before the Berekum Circuit Court on January 12, 2026, as the case continues.
Police retrieved a cutlass as an exhibit. The victims are currently on admission at a health facility receiving medical treatment. Investigations are ongoing, and the suspect is expected back in court for the continuation of proceedings.
