The Mfantseman Municipal Imam, King Saeed Mohammed, has called for divine intervention to restore peace in nations currently engulfed in conflict, urging Muslims and the global community to pray for an end to wars affecting humanity.
The Imam made the appeal during special prayers held in Mankessim to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan, where hundreds of Muslims gathered in thanksgiving and reflection after a month of fasting and spiritual devotion.

According to him, the effects of ongoing conflicts extend far beyond the countries directly involved, impacting economies and livelihoods worldwide, including Ghana.
“The consequences of war are not limited to the fighting nations alone. Countries that are not part of these conflicts also suffer economic and social hardships, and Ghana is no exception,” he stated.
Imam King Saeed Mohammed said Muslims are praying for Allah to touch the hearts of world leaders and guide them toward peaceful resolutions.

“It is our sincere prayer that Allah softens the hearts of those involved so they willingly choose peace over violence,” he added.
Call for Modest Eid Celebrations
The Municipal Imam also urged Muslims to celebrate Eid in moderation and uphold the values learned during Ramadan.
He cautioned against excessive celebrations that could undermine the spiritual benefits gained through fasting and prayer.
“Our celebrations should not attract Allah’s wrath. If we abandon discipline after Ramadan, then the essence of the fasting becomes meaningless,” he advised.

He particularly appealed to the youth to exercise restraint and avoid activities that could lead to misconduct.
The Imam advised young people to stay away from places such as beaches, nightclubs, and pubs during the celebrations, encouraging them instead to maintain moral discipline and reflect the spiritual lessons of Ramadan.

He further called on families and community leaders to guide young people toward responsible and peaceful celebrations.
The prayers ended with calls for unity, peace, and continued harmony within Ghana and across the world.
