Religious leaders of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission have called for an immediate end to conflicts in the Middle East, urging global leaders to protect innocent civilians as Muslims around the world mark Eid-ul-Fitr with prayers for peace, unity, and compassion.

A Central Regional Missionary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, Maulvi Abdiel Hameed Tahir, stressed the urgent need for leaders in the Middle East to work toward ending ongoing conflicts to safeguard innocent lives caught in the violence.

“Countless innocent people continue to suffer and perish despite having no involvement in these conflicts,” he said, noting that many victims are helpless civilians who daily call upon Allah — the Most Gracious and Most Merciful — for peace and protection.

He appealed to global leaders and stakeholders to prioritise dialogue, reconciliation, and humanitarian considerations over continued hostilities, highlighting that peace remains a core teaching of Islam.

Maulvi Tahir also encouraged Muslims to use the Eid celebrations as an opportunity to promote unity, compassion, and coexistence among all people, regardless of religious background.

He urged believers to celebrate Eid not only with fellow Muslims but also with neighbours and communities of different faiths to strengthen social harmony and mutual respect.

Speaking to the media, the Mankessim Zonal Missionary, Hafiz Maulvi Abdiel Samad Ahmed Boateng, expressed gratitude to Allah for His guidance, protection, and spiritual renewal granted to believers.

He encouraged citizens to remain steadfast in righteousness and live according to the teachings of the Holy Qur’an, which emphasize maintaining a strong relationship with God while promoting peace and good relations among humanity.

Hafiz Maulvi Boateng also reminded the faithful that the founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission exemplified devotion to both God and mankind, a principle he urged Muslims to emulate in their daily lives.

Community leader Alhaji Nana Odoom advised young people to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr responsibly and in moderation to avoid incidents that could disrupt public order.

He cautioned that while celebrations are important, adherence to the laws of the land is essential, warning that authorities would take action against anyone engaging in unlawful behaviour.

The clerics collectively emphasised that Eid-ul-Fitr should serve as a period of reflection, peace, and renewed commitment to moral living, urging Muslims and the wider society to uphold values of tolerance, discipline, and compassion.
