The Ministry of Interior has officially declared Friday, May 1, 2026, as a statutory public holiday to mark this year’s International Workers’ Day.

In a statement issued on April 27, 2026, and signed by the Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, the general public is reminded that the day should be observed nationwide in accordance with Ghana’s public holiday regulations.
